Welcome to the eRAMS CoAgMet Mesonet

To access the CoAgMet Mesonet, open the beta website at https://beta.erams.com/coagmet/.  You’ll see a map of CoAgMet and NCWCD stations with (by default) the latest mean temperature for each station:

Map Legend

You can open or close the map legend at any time by clicking on the legend icon at the top of the legend menu:

The legend will display a list of station types, as well as the current weather variable and units shown for each station on the map.

Map Settings

You can change what variables and units are displayed at any time by opening the settings panel on the map:

View Latest Weather Information

To view details for any station, click on a bubble using the map or type the id or name of a station from the search bar at the top-right of the screen:

View Historical Weather Data (All Stations)

The map displays the latest hourly weather data for all stations by default.  However, you can view historic weather data for all stations on the map by selecting “Custom” from the “Date” field in the Settings Panel:

Once this is selected, click into the date box to select a custom date:

The map will refresh with weather data for the selected date.  You can then switch between various weather attributes from the Settings panel to see them displayed on the map.

View Historical Weather Data (Single Station)

Once you’ve opened a popup with an associated weather station, click on the “historical” tab to view weather data in the past:

Click the “Start” or “End” text boxes to pick another date range.  Use the magnifying glass to refresh weather data for a new date range, the download icon to download the weather data directly from coagmet, and the “Open in a new window” icon to to see historic weather data on a full page.

View Photos

To see the latest photos associated with a weather station, click on the “Photos” tab of a station popup:

To view photos from another date, click on the “Details” button, which will open another browser window with photos from multiple perspectives.  From there, you can click on a photo to view a slideshow of all station photos.

View Metadata

You can also view information about a station, including a history of hardware, sensor and service work reports, by clicking on the “meta” button associated with a station:

You’ll be redirected a page that you can bookmark for the latest station information:
