Harvesting Energy From Wastewater

Wastewater contains high organic matter that can be converted to energy. As energy efficiency becomes a high priority for utilities across the US, capturing energy from anaerobic treatment of wastewater is becoming a more attractive alternative. Further, separation of graywater and blackwater results in a wastewater that is very amenable to anaerobic treatment and a system that is overall more energy efficient.
