EPA Water Data
Water data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are available from several different databases including information about water quality, permitting, surface and groundwater, and beach pollution monitoring.
Water Quality
Water quality monitoring locations are provided from the STORET or STOrage and RETrieval system managed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. STORET data are generated from information collected by state, tribal, and federal agencies under the Clean Water Act.

Beach Pollution (BEACON)
The United States Environmental Protection Agency provides information about state, tribal, and territory-reported beach pollution monitoring. Polygons denoting participating agencies are mapped with Global Self-consistent, Hierarchical, High-resolution Shorelines (GSHHS). Lines specify monitored beach areas and beach status in terms of public water quality conditions affecting the safety of swimming at those sites.
