Create A Group

From the Primary menu select the “Groups” tab (next to “Account”):

1. Click “Create Group”
2. Name the group
   • Optional – add description
   • “Make Public” will allow the the group to appear in searches
3. Add members
   • Enter email
   • Search by username
4. Select level of access from dropdown menu
   • Full access members can access and modify all content
   • Read-only members can view or download the contents, but cannot modify the information.
5. Important: Click “Add” to add the member
6. Once all members have been invited, click “Done”
   • Note: these steps send a notification to the invited eRAMS users to join the group.  The invited members must accept the invitation before they are added to the group and appear under the “Members” option in the right sidebar.
7. The group will now appear in a dropdown will appear on the submenu
   • Note: you must select “Groups” from the Primary menu to enable the dropdown menu.

If you belong to multiple groups, a dropdown will appear on the submenu after you select “Groups” from the Primary menu.  You can toggle between your groups (either created by you or other eRAMS users) using the “Group” dropdown menu.

Join Existing Group

Users can search for existing groups be selecting the “Join Group” button and entering keywords, or if known the Group name.

1. Group owner (creator) will receive notification of your request and respond accordingly
2. If you are granted access a notification will appear on the upper right corner of the Primary menu after you login
   • The group will now appear in a dropdown will appear on the submenu
     • Note: you must select “Groups” from the Primary menu to enable the dropdown submenu.

Add Members

1. Select the appropriate Group from the dropdown submenu
   • Note: you must select “Groups” from the Primary menu to enable the dropdown submenu.
2. Click  “Share” from the right sidebar
   • “Share My Group” dialog will pop up that allows adding or removing members
   • To add members:
     1. Enter email or search by username
     2. Select level of access from dropdown menu
        • Full access members can access and modify all content
        • Read-only members can view or download the contents, but cannot modify the information.
     3. Important: Click “Add” to add the member
   • To delete members:
     1. Locate member and select “Remove”
3. Once all members have been invited or removed, click “Done”

Note: these steps send a notification to the invited eRAMS users to join the group.  The invited members must accept the invitation before they are added to the group and appear under the “Members” option in the right sidebar of the eRAMS Groups Menu.
