Description
Summary data from 42 household interviews with residents of Phoenix, Arizona. These vignette-style interviews explored possible consequences of a hypothetical multi-day regional power failure in the greater Phoenix area. Each interview lasted approximately one hour and covered topics including access to water, food, and other critical supplies, communication and contact with friends and family members, intention to evacuate, coping strategies, public safety, and information-seeking behaviors. The interviews were thematically coded for specific water-related coping strategies. This data package includes summary data for the interviews including the frequency of each code by household, basic characteristics each household, and full details of each code.
